CALL
FOR ENTRIES IN BPG MULTICHANNEL AWARD
The
Broadcasting Press Guild has issued a call for entries
in the Multichannel category of this year’s BPG Awards.
Unlike the other awards, which are chosen by the membership
as a whole, the Multichannel Award is selected by a jury
of members that specialise in the sector. The Award is
designed to highlight the programme that in the opinion
of the judges is worthy of a place in the broadcast schedule.
“Over 70% of the UK now has access to digital television,
but the Guild believes it is more important than ever to
recognise the talent that goes into multichannel television
production, sometimes on a fraction of the budget,” said
Julian Clover, chairman of the Multichannel Award jury.
Broadcasters are invited to send a DVD of their selected
programme and some background information such as transmission
date, production company and cast details (if appropriate)
