Established in 2012, the Breakthrough Award recognises an individual performer who has ‘broken through’ to the big time in the year in question.
Meanwhile, 2021 sees the introduction of the Emerging Creators Award.
Recognising UK-based, online talent who have a distinctive voice or/and online programme that offers audiences something unique and new.
Nominees must have a significant online following, be UK based or UK commissioned, and have consistently created original content.

2012: Olivia Colman for performances in Rev (BBC Two) and Exile (BBC One)
