Awards Voting 2019

Dear BPG Member

You are invited to take part in the first round of voting for the BPG 2019 TV, Radio & Streaming Video Awards. First round voting lasts from now until midnight on January 25th.

This is the link to the Online form which you need to fill in and submit;

Voting tips

  1. You must fill out your details (name, email & mobile phone) for your vote to count;
  2. if you are prompted for a ‘members’ password’ it is ‘pencil’ and, if you see a message asking you to accept ‘cookies’, click ‘yes’;
  3. We prefer that you vote in as many categories as possible. If you don’t have a vote in a category put a hyphen to indicate you have decided not to vote in that category;
  4. All the genre awards and Best Writer category include two lists: one for best PSB and a second for best non-PSB – try to vote in each;
  5. There are also two ‘write-in’ categories (the BPG Innovation Award and the Harvey Lee Award i.e. the BPG’s lifetime achievement honour) and your suggestions are welcome for both;
  6. Only hit the ‘Submit’ button on the voting form once you have completely finished voting;
  7. if you don’t receive an automatic acknowledgement to your email, make sure you’ve pressed the ‘Submit’ button;8
  8. We recommend that you open two browser windows – click on this Online form link which you need to fill in and submit; And In a second browser window, click this hotlink http://www.broadcastingpressguild.org/bpg-awards/how-to-vote/ to see the Nominations list for each award category;
    (OR you can just open one browser window and use the ‘back’ button on the browser to go back and forth between the voting form and the nominations lists)

If you have questions on technology, please contact our webmaster Julian Clover , cc’d here. For any other questions, please contact me or Nick Radlo.

These nomination lists have been prepared by the BPG Critics Committee chaired by Caroline Frost and showcase the best talent and shows for the 12 months of 2018. They are not a comprehensive list of everything broadcast last year; this is a list our BPG Critics think are the best of the year.

A separate email voting invite will follow for the final voting round. This will take place from Jan 28th to Feb 1st and be made up of shortlists receiving the most first-round votes.

Finally, our Awards sponsor for the second year is Virgin Media. The 2019 BPG Awards Lunch is on Friday March 15th. Tickets for members will be available in a few weeks. Watch for an email from Torin Douglas.

Thank you in advance for voting,
